The Volman Villa

Set in the landscape of vast forests, spectacular mirror-like water and romantic tranquillity, the majestic Volman villa and its impressive grounds date back to the First Republic. It was then that the avant-garde architects Karel Janů and Jiří Štursa gave it its shape, following the example of Le Corbusier. The residence is located a few kilometers east of Prague, in the town of Čelákovice.

AN UNEXPECTED PARTNERSHIP

Lejaan has recently become part of the Volman Villa. Zuzana Kadlečková, curator and chairwoman at the Volman Villa Association, recalls the onset of our partnership. “The Volman Villa carries a story of exceptional architecture and the Lejaan story is one of an exceptional approach. We met at the summer Sleeping Under the Stars event, where we prepared beds for guests outside on the terraces. It was supposed to be a one-off collaboration, but we were so impressed with the bed linen, pillows and duvets that we decided to equip our whole apartment in Lejaan."

The two paths that met, quite understandably, now together form something completely new and sophisticated. Something that provides visitors to the Volman Villa with an unforgettable experience. “I want our guests to leave feeling delighted, relaxed and pampered,” adds Zuzana.

What does this partnership mean for visitors to the villa? “Guests at Miss Ludi's suite wake under Lejaan duvets that are dressed in brilliant white Daily Notes bed linen. The suite is furnished with carefully selected and sensitively restored furniture by Czech functionalist design legends, such as Jindřich Halabala and Robert Slezák,” says Zuzana, smiling.

When we asked Zuzana what makes Lejaan bedding so enchanting, she knew the answer instantly, “It's so soft, you honestly feel like you're sleeping on a cloud!”
